Adequate exposure assessment is crucial to determine the risks of individuals and support exposure-reducing and health-promoting actions, to ultimately prevent the development and progression of disease. However, standards and protocols are oftentimes lacking.

Throughout the EXIMIOUS project, several tools were created to support the adequate and comprehensive exposure assessment. These tools were developed to assess the broader exposome – the combination of (environmental and/or occupational) exposure agents.
